Sainsburys and Caring Hearts Fundraiser

Sainsburys has a youth forum who help to raise money for various charities and have recently raised money for the Caring Hearts charity which is a worthwhile cause and helps many people in the local community.

On the 28th January 2012 Sainsbury's Youth Forum held a fundraiser for Caring Hearts. Sainsbury's Youth Forum is made up of a group of colleagues under 25 years old from different stores within the London Region.

They raised funds for their Local Charity Partner Caring Hearts on Saturday 28th January 2012 between 9am-12pm. Colleagues from the Youth Forum dressed up and held a cake sale at the Putney Store. Customers could choose to make a donation to the charity on the day who provide financial assistance and support directly to any family within the UK who have a child under the age of eighteen suffering from any type of disability, serious or terminal illness.

Sainsbury's Tooting Store Manager Phil Willmott said he hopes the Caring Hearts fundraiser event will help to raise the profile of the partnership with Caring Hearts and also raise awareness of the great things that our Youth Forum do within the community.

"The Youth Forum chose Caring Hearts because their aims and objectives really touched the hearts of many of our colleagues and customers. We hope that the fundraiser will show our customers that we're passionate to give help and support, through raising awareness and fundraising, for the Caring Hearts".
